SO BEGINS THE ADVENTURE
After working as a ski and paragliding instructor and as a rafting specialist, Mike Horn attempted his first expedition in 1991 in the Peruvian Andes but really began his new life as a full-time adventurer in 1997 when he descended the Amazon from its source all the way down to the Atlantic Ocean by hydrospeed. This was the start of what is today recognised as an unparalleled career of exploration and adventure including several world-records.
AN INSPIRATION FOR MANY
Mike Horn has appeared in several TV shows as a survival expert and has also contributed to the success of numerous sports teams acting as a motivational coach. Mike also likes sharing his experience through public and private conferences and masterclasses.
"There’s so much to gain from stepping out of our comfort zones, and that’s what I love to convey through my adventures! We all have our personal mountains to climb, oceans to cross, obstacles to overcome...but nothing is impossible
if we set our minds to it!"
